3 Late Round Tight Ends That Could Have Top 5 Upside

The Tight End position, a position, outside of just a handful of guys, most people feel like there is no advantage at all. We know what Kelce, Andrews, Kittle, and even Goedert bring to the table. What if you weren’t so lucky to grab one of this game changing Tight Ends? Here are 3 Late round guys that, if you wait, might pay off in the long run.

1. Chigoziem Okonkwo: Now we know what the wide receiver room looks like in Tennessee…outside of Treylon Burks there isn’t a guy that should scare you in terms of targets. Chig broke out onto the scene late last year with a stat line of 24 catches/278 yards/ 2 TDS on31 targets in seven games. This is with former all-pro Austin Hooper still on the roster. Now that he has left in free agency, Chig has a chance to be the 2nd target in an offense that needs to compete with the likes of Jacksonville. I like the value on Chig in the double-digit rounds.

2. Cole Kmet: When are we going to see a breakout from a guy who everyone thought would be the next big thing? A new era in Chicago is here. With the talent leap of Justin Fields, adding a pass catcher like DJ Moore and a new offensive playbook this could be the year we see Cole Kmet take that jump as well. Last year we saw him only receiving ten redzone targets but converting six of them to scores. With the 24-year-old not missing a single game since being drafted in 2020, I am looking for Kmet to give fantasy owner a reason to be happy they waited for a Tight End.

3. Greg Dulcich: Last year the Denver Broncos were less than ideal, but if there was anything to take away from it, it would be that Dulcich can be the next best Tight End in the Mile High City. Over a ten-game span last year, he posted a 33 catch/411 yard/ 2touchdown stat line until a hamstring injury sideline him. This being just a muscle injury and a full offseason to be healthy, the 23-year-old star has a chance to cement himself in a Sean Payton offseason and have more chemistry with a future Hall of Fame QB like Russell Wilson.
