3 Rookie Wideouts to keep your eye out for in 2023

It is easy to say JSN and Zay Flowers are going to be stars, with their draft statuses being so high along with what we saw from the first round wideouts last year. What about those late round guys? Those day two and three guys burst onto the scene during the season and left us saying that we should have seen the writing on the wall. Here are some late round guys who can make an immediate impact on their teams and your fantasy squad.

1. Jonathan Mingo: This first guy should come as no surprise. Going into a situation that is brand new to everyone from the QB to the head coach, leading the whole culture in a different direction. Mingo with his 4.46 40/ 30.5-inch vertical has a chance to be BryceYoung’s go to guy this upcoming season. With the departure of DJ Moore, there is a void for targets. It is up to Mingo to fight off some good, not great, competition between Adam Theilen/DJ Chark/ Terrace Marshall. Mingo has the size and speed to get him early looks this upcoming season.

2. Tank Dell: When your newly drafted franchise QB says “I want this guy to come play with me” the team tends to listen. We, as fantasy owners, need to realize what this means. When Cincy drafted Ja’maar Chase in their draft, it was Burrow who told him to go get my guy. Now, I am not saying Dell will be Chase 2.0, there are countless other times we have seen a franchise QB vouch for someone and then turn into the guy. Dell isn't the ideal size to be pushing people off him at the line, but he has shown he can lead a team in every category like he did his senior year in Houston. With the Texans not very deep at wideout, Tank will find his way onto the field sooner than we think.

3. Marvin Mims: Talk about a match made in heaven. Sean Payton and Russel Wilson are getting another weapon to use in their new offensive scheme. Mims, kind of like Tank, is not the size we like to see most wideouts, but he is faster and heavier than first round wideout Zay Flowers. Now it will be difficult to command a lot of targets to start with Jeudy and Sutton being the primary guys. Mims can surely find his way on the field as the third guy with Tim Patrick coming off his injury and KJ Hamler hoping to return from his injury as well. With Mims having that straight line speed and us seeing a lot of deep shots last year from Russ, I can see Mims being at the en
d of a lot of those.
